Mountain inn with elaborate cuisine serving local dishes
Located in the center of the village, facing the Meije, here is a beautiful stone building where the welcome is as good as the place. Au Vieux Guide is an authentic mountain inn where you can enjoy, on the summer terrace or in the warm dining room, local dishes (fondue or raclette à l'ancienne) as well as more elaborate cuisine (pan-fried calf sweetbreads with morels, roast rack of lamb with heather honey, etc.). Vegan welcome. Unquestionably one of the best restaurants in La Grave, which also offers lodging in dormitories or in individual rooms.

Très bonne table (tartiflette ou fondue), petit déjeuner aussi. Je recommande.
Par contre, côté gîte d'étape :
-personne pour accueillir
-matelas médiocre et très fatigué
-douche+lavabo unique pour 13 couchages.
Sans espérer un hôtel, on attend un peu mieux d'un gîte d'étape en vallée.
