This geopark unites the shores of Lake Sainte-Croix with the snowy peaks of Dormillouse and includes a unique diversity of landscapes

The Haute-Provence Geopark is the first geopark created by UNESCO in 2000. To visit it in its entirety, plan on spending some time: 1,989 km2 and more than 80 areas open to the public from thematic routes are accessible. It links the shores of Lake Sainte-Croix to the snowy peaks of Dormillouse and includes a unique diversity of landscapes where Alpine and Provençal features are combined. Ammonite slabs, ichthyosaur skeletons or bird footprints... You will be amazed!

Opening time and information on GEOPARK WALKING MUSEUM

Closed from November 6 to March 31. Open from April 1st to the end of November 7 days a week from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5:30pm. July and August open 7 days a week from 9am to 7pm. Closing of the cash desk 1h30 before the closing of the House of the ramparts. Free for children under 7 years old. Adults: 8 €. Children (from 7 to 14 years old) : 5 €. Average length of visit 2h to 2h30. Adult : 8 €. Access to all areas of the Promenade Museum, free parking (limited to the day of the visit and opening hours) and 2 guided tours per day on the butterfly trail (from mid-April to mid-September except we). Vacation vouchers. Randoland cards to be obtained from the Digne-les-Bains Tourist Office. Store. Animations : Randoland, it's games and enigmas for children and tourist information for parents. Fun circuits, children join the visit with pleasure. Available for 4/6 years, 7/9 years and 9/12 years.

Several places to see, discover and visit in this reserve... the geological wealth are number and it takes several days to tour and soak up the atmosphere of it
