Castle among the great Logis of the South of the Vendée ideal for a romantic stay with its enchanting setting and rooms
Fancy a romantic stay? The Château de la Chevallerie will delight heritage lovers. This castle, a historical monument of the 17th and 18th century, is one of the largest Logis in the south of the Vendée. An enchanting setting offering two bedrooms. The 18th century room is a room with an alcove, as in the 18th century, with a large fireplace, and offering a view of the large courtyard of the Pavilion. Upstairs, the Flowers room can accommodate a couple and their children.

J'ai appelé le gardien qui m'a demandé combien nous étions pour la visite "ah 2 personnes !?" Euh non pas de visite . Incroyable en haute saison... Impossible de visiter donc ce château pourtant magnifique en extérieur. Quelle déception ☹️

J ai été littéralement plongée dans l histoire, non seulement du château, de la Vendée, histoire de France , histoire de l architecture, un travail de titans à été effectué ces 20 dernières années par les propriétaires, ils sont partis de pas grand chose ....visiter le château le matin tôt à 9h est juste super, pas trop chaud juste bien , le propriétaire vous explique tout et il est également de bons conseils pour vous aider quand vous avez une vieille maison !,
