In the Vendée bocage, the church of Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure is built on the highest point of the Vendée, at an altitude of 290 metres. To get the best view of this hilly landscape, separated by hedgerows, you will have to climb the 199 steps of the bell tower and you will dominate the whole bocage!
