Oyster harbor of Pont Neuf in Fromentine, a charming place with boat moorings, oyster huts, etc.
At the entrance of the town, on the road to Nantes, the oyster port of Pont Neuf is a charming place with its pontoons for fishermen, yachtsmen and oyster farmers, oyster huts and fisheries with their carrelets. This estuary offers the view of a series of locks materializing the separation between the ocean and the Breton Vendéen marsh. Close by, on an arm of the marsh, between fresh and salt water, you will appreciate the spectacle of the fisheries, still called "carrelets", these fishermen's huts as if suspended above the water

Les pêcheries de l'Etier du Pont Neuf à la Barre-de-Monts
Situées à l'entrée de la commune de la Barre de Monts, les pêcheries de l'Etier du Pont Neuf représentent un endroit très pittoresque avec ses innombrables bateaux d'un côté du pont et ses nombreuses cabanes à carrelet de l'autre côté du pont, ces dernières étant longées par un chemin permettant une agréable promenade à pied : un vrai moment de détente en pleine nature !
