Lovers of nature, peace and quiet, fishing, take a walk along the banks of the Yon valley for a stroll along the water. You will fall under the spell of this picturesque place, the real green lung of the Yon country. The river Yon meanders through several communes between La Roche-sur-Yon, at the Moulin Papon lake, Nesmy, Le Tablier, and the new commune of Rives-de-l'Yon, which includes the towns of Chaillé-sous-les-Ormeaux and La Ferrière. The walk starts at the Moulin Papon dam, then continues further south to Nesmy, with a stop at the Moulin de Rambourg. Here you can even hire canoes to cross the river. The Yon leads us to Chaillé-sous-les Ormeaux, where it offers us beautiful landscapes. So stop at the Maison des Libellules for an immersion in nature and to discover this surprising insect with grace and delicacy, through activities, exhibitions and playful workshops. We end this bucolic escapade in the commune of Le Tablier, in a singular and picturesque place that we love: Le Chaos de Piquet, a place that is both wild and romantic. Here the river meanders through the granite rocks polished by the years, and which would have been placed there by a giant gardener, according to a legend. The remains of an old spinning mill can also be found here. It is also an ideal place for newly married couples to take beautiful romantic photos.
