Located in Verrières en Anjou in the heart of the André Delibes park, the motte castle offers a trip back to the medieval period. Ancestor of the stone castle, it reconstitutes a fortified place of the 11th and 12th centuries. Made of wood and earth, it is composed of a motte surmounted by a dungeon and a bailey including a lord's dwelling, the knights' dwelling and agricultural buildings, all furnished as in the Middle Ages. Workshops and family visits, treasure hunts, historical re-enactments, plays, the castle is enriched each year with numerous activities that you can consult on the website.
