Cycling in retro mode. Saumur and its region go back in time with pedals and costumes of the Belle Époque.
After the first editions of the Anjou Vélo Vintage, the success seems far from drying up, to such an extent that, at the end of June, it comes from several countries following a good communication. What a beautiful idea that this event, which is a tribute to the bicycle, the region and its beautiful history with its dance halls, period clothing and rustic culinary specialities, is a tribute to the bicycle. The routes (30, 35, 35, 40, 60 and 120 km) start from Saumur to conquer the rich cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Loire Valley with various exhibitions, activities and gourmet breaks along the way that take participants to sites such as the Château de Montsoreau, the cellars of the Saumur winegrowers, now the Robert & Marcel cellars or the troglodytes of the cathedral cellars of Perrières in Doué-la-Fontaine. With nearly 2,000 entries, previous editions have attracted participants from all over the world to take part in this joyful race, dressed in retro and glamorous outfits and plying all kinds of antique bicycles. Anjou Vélo Vintage already invites you to meet us for two days at the end of June in Saumur for an edition that should once again swing with its courses with stops with entertainment and restoration at the Château de Brézé, Doué-la-Fontaine or the Château de Brissac ! Registration includes hiking, lunch and small gifts.
