The bird sanctuary managed by the Société des sciences naturelles départementale at Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave.

The Departmental Society of Natural Sciences manages this ornithological reserve. The site is known for its wintering qualities for water birds, for the nesting of heritage species (pierregarn tern, night heron), and the passage of migrations. The guided tour starting from the leisure centre's harbour will give you an insight into the biodiversity of the site, its flora and fauna, with a long view. A signposted path also leads to the observatory.
