Straw hat capital in the alleys of the old town, a beautiful authentic market to buy live poultry

Caussade is the capital of straw hats and has a good reputation as a hat-making town. Traces of this craft can be found throughout the town. Caussade also has a beautiful authentic market which is held every Monday around a recently renovated open market hall. In the alleys of the old town, the stalls spread out to the great pleasure of the onlookers who find here the flavour of the farmers' markets of the past. In Caussade you can still buy live poultry or in winter you can go to the fat market!
