La Maille au naturel has been specialising in knitting and sweater making since the 1960s. A "sixties" past, testifying to a know-how and a corporate culture, which today are passionately maintained by the employees grouped in cooperatives. Since 2010, to save their company promised to be liquidated by the courts, this army of very active little hands has taken over the knitting looms to prolong the beautiful history of La Maille au naturel. Together, they continue to design products with the greatest respect for tradition and the art of wool. Sweaters, scarves, waistcoats, plaids and layettes are made of fine, soft merino wool or high-end cashmere from the noblest part of the fleece. These raw materials are worked with water and mild soap, and without the addition of chemicals to respect their authentic qualities. The result: healthy, isothermic and durable clothing and accessories that will last for years.
