The Escorial is a palace of kings, it is well known, but is it also for the more democratic palaces? . Baby has just taken over this table from the center of Castres. In a former convent, brick walls, high ceilings, a decoration made of iron and wood, combining ancient charm with modernity. In one of the five rooms, the layout is meticulous. We appreciate, a map of cocktails with fresh Vegetables (Vigin Bloody Mary) carrots, tomatoes, lemon among others, then tuna half-baked to its virgin sauce, ris of veal to morels or st-Jacques in citronella. A wine list with a few wines from all vineyards.

L’escurial, superbe moment historique espagnol, bien piètre restaurant Castrais. Le 14 Mars 2019, nous déjeunons dans cet établissement. L’accueil un peu trop familier donnait déjà le ton. Nous commandons le menu du jour et en 40 mn l’affaire fut « pliée » tellement les plats proposés étaient une parodie de cuisine : produits surgelés, plats réchauffés, viande caoutchouteuse (filet mignon de porc qui n’avait de mignon que le nom),dessert encore surgelé. Le serveur interpelé et de mauvaise foi,jura que c’etait la faute de son fournisseur. Les 3 autres personnes attablées ne connurent pas un meilleur sort que le notre. Patron réveille toi, avant qu’il ne soit trop tard !!!!!

Nous y avons mangé à l'occasion de la Foire de Castres, Le service est assuré avec le sourire et la bonne humeur.
La qualité est là, par contre la quantité de l'assiette principale dans le menu est un peu légère!
Le dessert (bonbons au chocolat) est juste excellent! !
Le café à 1,50€ pour 1cm de café dans un gobelet est un peu exagéré!

Restaurant très bien situé en centre ville de Castres dans un joli cadre rustique industriel. Rapport qualité prix incroyable :3 plats pour moins de 15 euros y compris le WE .Cuisine bonne et originale avec des petites surprises gustatives.Bons petits vins locaux a pris compétitifs .

I will never look over the foot in this restaurant and strongly advises against it:

- Menu: Many dishes missing, with the result that you do not really have choice.

- The food itself: Steak too spicy and not very good. The promised accompaniment was not available, and it had to be content with mashed potatoes mixed with cheese (while I dislike this product).

- Incorrect waiter: Address with guests (however adults and unknown) by the incessant uses of the tu and uses of too familiar expressions as if it was intended to a pal.

- Atmosphere: Flies frequently invite to table, all with the music of Christophe Maé playing in the background.

- Execrable value: The dishes are not even worth a quarter of their prices.
