SAINTE-MARIE CHURCH (NOTRE-DAME DE MONTREAL)

It is customary to call this church Sainte-Marie or Notre-Dame, but it was also dedicated to two apostles, hence the common name of Saint-Philippe-et-Saint-Jacques. The parish center of Montréal-du-Gers occupies a corner of the central square. The Gothic style building dates from the ^13th century. Restored in the ^17th century and at the end of the wars of religion, it houses a Gallo-Roman mosaic and its Gothic porch is remarkable.
