Terrae Genesis Geology Center with store, divided into 4 departments, offering fun workshops ideal for children

True fans of the rocks or simple curious, everyone is at the Terrae Genesis geology center to discover the wonders of Planet Earth while admiring spectacular exhibitions that will seduce small and large ones. Built on the historic site of granite and granite, this center is divided into four departments, an exhibition on the Vosgian history of granite. Later, there is a vast collection of fossils of animals (including mammoth tibia) and plants. The field of petrology reveals all the rocks of the Vosgian massif. Migmatites, sandstones, basalts… There are more than 800! The oldest rock in the world of 3.8 billion years is even exposed. Children can participate in various playful workshops. Several conferences are regularly organized with major researchers such as Gérard Bonneau or Thomas Chenal. New 2018: Tasting glasses, pencils and fully-made canals at the Center de Geologie with rocks from the Vosgian massif, and available at the shop!

L'établissement ne paye pas de mine (:-)) de l'extérieur, mais l'exposition des multitudes de roches à l'intérieur vaut le détour! Les films, les jeux, la création de la terre, les explications, l'audioguide, la boutique, les ateliers et machines et outils à l'extérieur pour se rendre compte du travail des granits titanesque pour l'époque. À améliorer: la voix de l'audioguide qui pourrait être plus dynamique. Temps de visite: 1h30

A découvrir absolument, on apprend vraiment beaucoup de choses sur le monde minéral et géologique, ainsi que le travail des granitiers locaux .
