The geological reserve of Hettange-Grande is one of the eleven geological reserves of France and the only one in Lorraine. On the site, consisting of 6 ha of land covering an old career, a pedagogical trail has been developed with fifteen explanatory panels on geology, botany and pedology. Fossils, different rock natures, a discontinuity surface, and a flaw make this site a place to showcase and learn Earth sciences very fully.
