The originality of the place lies in the numerous frescoes that adorn its walls. French soldiers, in their idle hours, have left illustrations of the situation at the time. The result is neither humorous nor aesthetically pleasing. You will walk 25 m underground through 1 km of galleries, guided by an expert in period costume. On the menu: the engine room, the electricity production and the 71-ton machine turret. Every year in June, a historical re-enactment is held where you can meet real enthusiasts.

Beaucoup de passionnés rencontrés et une belle exposition de peinture Maginot. Une ambiance chaleureuse et j'ai même assisté à la levée des couleurs avec les loups de Moselle. Une belle idée de visite

Félicitations à tous les bénévoles qui continuent à mettre beaucoup d'ardeur à la tâche. Le Fort aux Fresques et la clairière face à l'ouvrage sont désormais recherchés pour des reconstitutions historiques et des thrillers ou autres sciences fictions. Petit paradis d'où partent et aboutissent la marche de la Ligne Maginot de Bockange à Chémery-les-deux, en passant bien sûr par Hestroff et Hobling, et la désormais traditionnelle randonnée du 14 juillet.
