Church in the heart of the village which impresses by its simplicity and its curious octagonal bell tower in Nasbinals
In the very heart of the village, the church of Nasbinals is a remarkable example of Auvergne Romanesque art from the 11th and 12th centuries, made of Margeride granite, brown basalt and volcanic tuff with its roof of schist slates. It continues to impress by its simplicity and its curious octagonal bell tower which overhangs the crossing. At the portal, one can see a superb sculpture on a capital representing the fight between a sagittarius and a spearman. Inside, the furniture is modern and surprising, but in harmony with the sobriety of the place.
