THE ROCKET OBSERVATION TRAIL

Accessible from Pont-Ravmaisons, it allows to discover the traditional habitat of the cevenole valleys and a small built heritage that was involved in agricultural activity. In particular, a wood oven, shale shaving area and clays were restored. These are small two-tier cabins that used to dry chestnuts: We lit a fire on the ground floor below a glazing floor (or "claw") on which the fruit was placed. Thus dried, chestnuts were more easily peeled, could be preserved or reduced into flour. Preferably with park agents as part of summer trips to learn much more (free).
