Magnanerie housing the Le Fil de la Mémoire exhibition on the theme of silk in the Cévennes

One of the last silk factories from the end of the 19th century houses the exhibition Le Fil de la Mémoire on the theme of silk in the Cévennes and its place in the Cévennes identity. Built to revive the activity after the epidemic that had ravaged the farms, this factory was supposed to allow a regular and controlled production of silk, but the lack of profitability and competition made it cease all activity on the eve of the Second World War.
