THE CASTLES OF RELIEF AND FABRICATIONS

The castles of Soulages and Fabrèges evoke the memory of two important lordships. The one of Soulages, in the south-east of the village, dominates the wooded valley of Chapeauroux. In fact, two buildings coexist: an old building (13th and 16th centuries) which preserves an old tower crowned with battlements and a 19th century building. On the other bank of the Chapeauroux, the manor house and the chapel of Fabrèges are hidden in a shady park. The castle dates from the 17th century.
