OLIVETTE DEPARTMENT

From the site, you will be able to see, in the direction of Vailhan, the vestiges of the castle of Castelas dating from the ^12th century. Going up to the Causses, a marked path leads you to the west, to the summit formed of basaltic rocks, remains of lava flows from Lodevois to Cap d'Agde. As for the Olivettes dam, it was designed to irrigate farmland and to limit the violence of the Peyne floods.

Swimming is allowed but not supervised.
