CHAPEL OF OUR LADY OF HOPE

It was at the request of Father Dessalles, the parish priest of Saint-Pons-de-Mauchiens, that the statue of Our Lady of Hope found refuge on the Pic, a small elevation facing the village, in 1881. Seventeen years later, Father Blaquière had the present chapel built, on which the statue was placed. The rotunda-shaped construction belongs to the neo-gothic style and is accessed by a large staircase. Reaching the spot requires a small effort but it is rewarded by the beauty of the chapel swept by the winds and the panorama over the village.
