The Melando association has set itself an objective: to encourage encounters and openness to the Other through cultural means, by working to reach the widest possible audiences, by favouring innovative artistic devices, interventions in public spaces and in places not dedicated to performance. Since 2008, it has been supporting street theatre companies, including for example Kamchàtka, a Barcelona-based artists' collective, and the NCNC team. That's not all: Melando has also invented, led and seen growing since 2010 the cultural project of territory in Pic St Loup. This project mixes the "Rencontres des Cultures en Pic St Loup", an itinerant season of live shows in the streets, in theatres, in landscapes, artistic residences in the area, cultural actions, artistic walks in the Garrigues associating artists and experts or users of the landscapes... Since January 1st, 2020, the cultural project of the area in Pic St Loup and its itinerant season are flying on their own wings within a new association: the Artistic Season of Melando
