FÊTES DE LANSARGUES

Each municipality in this territory has its own traditional festivals. Lansargues, for example, has its highlights: the celebration of the week of 15 August gives rise to a whole programme of traditional activities around Camargue culture: abrivados, bandidos, encierros, ferrades, lunches in the meadows, gauze of the bulls, "Roussataïo" - or blessing of the horses - and Camargue racing. The same goes for the Saint Martin's Day on November 11th, with its abrivados, encierros and musical activities. Also noteworthy on July 14, in addition to the traditional fireworks display launched the day before, a lunch and aperitif on Place Saint-Jean are offered to the population by the municipality, before the Camargue race of new bulls, called "Taus".
