OLD COULOUBRINE GLASS FACTORY

Restored in 1989, the métairie de Couloubrines houses an old-fashioned glassmaker's kiln, in the open air, just as it was in the Renaissance. Here you can discover the history of the glassmaking dynasties on the Causse de l'Orthus over five centuries. The secrets of glassmaking, the way of life, the traditions and products of a wood-fired glassworks are revealed. In his workshop in the heart of the glass hall, glassmaker Guillaume Domise introduces you to the flame-spinning technique.
