DEPARTMENTAL DOMAIN OF THE MOULIN NEUF

This path through the garrigue leads to a beach on the banks of the Hérault. Here, time flows gently, like the water that lulls canoeists to sleep. The site takes its name from the Moulin neuf, a small hydroelectric plant still in operation. On the Avèze, it symbolizes the advent of modern machinery, gradually replacing the old traditional water mills. The banks are frequented by kingfishers, which you may see watching for small fish.
