A site dedicated to Pierre Charial, a musician who chose to devote himself to notation for mechanical musical instruments.

This passionate musician, who trained in piano, bassoon and writing at the Lyon Conservatory of Music, has been composing since 1960. After teaching for several years, he decided to concentrate on notation for mechanical musical instruments, a rare discipline that involves creating cardboard or perforated paper supports for use on automatic musical instruments, mainly barrel organs.
