Built in 1729, it occupies the site of the former Roman forum and the 13th-century common house of the consuls of Béziers. It is here that the city's affairs have long been settled. Il est situé près des Halles pour les personnes désirant aussi les visiter
L'hôtel de Ville tel qu'on le connait date du début du 18 ème siècle.
Dans la cour centrale près du service de l'Etat-Civil se trouve la statue du camel de Béziers. C'est la représentation du chameau sur lequel arriva Aphrodise qui venait à Béziers au début du christianisme pour évangéliser la ville.
Je pense que le bâtiment mérite le détour, alors n'hésitez pas.
Pour information, il est situé près des Halles pour les personnes désirant aussi les visiter.
