Founded in 1872 by Gustave FAYET, the Société des Beaux-Arts remains Béziers' leading fine arts association. It offers workshops in drawing, painting, watercolor, mixed media, photography and street art. Modeling and stone sculpture enthusiasts can also learn or improve their skills at the Maison Cordier. A veritable breeding ground for talent, every two years the association organizes the Salon International d'Arts Plastiques, in collaboration with the town. The school is generally open to adults for courses in drawing, painting, modeling and sculpture. Every Wednesday, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Béziers offers art classes for children aged 9 to 14.
