In Thézan-des-Corbières, at the bend of vineyards and a stony path, let yourself be guided by the sun's rays, in the heart of the rugged Corbières, where the earth reveals the character of men of passion and exalts the blood of the vine, welcome to Château Saint Estève in the Boutenac cru! The Latham family welcomes you in the centre of a magnificent stone building, in a cellar steeped in history and a tribute to Henry de Monfreid, adventurer and writer, one of whose vintages bears his name. The welcome and availability of the owners is equal to the wines they make: generous. Don't miss the tasting of the vertical cuvée Ganymède, an exceptional vin de garde with blackberry accents and tannic structure, and discover all the secrets of the Carignan grape variety. You will be able to let yourself be bewitched by the finesse of the Altaîr or Astréos vintages with their spicy aromas. The complexity of these wines has undeniably seduced a good number of well-informed amateurs and seasoned professionals who have not been mistaken, and have largely rewarded them: Gold Medal of independent winegrowers for Ganymède, 2019 and 2020 Excellence Prize at the Paris Agricultural Show for the overall quality of the vintages. It is worth noting the LPO certification of Château S- Estève, which validates the environmental actions undertaken in favour of birds and amphibians.
Summer jazz evenings, after-work aperitif dinners and oenological discovery walks are organised from spring onwards! Red, rosé and white wines in the Corbières and Boutenac appellations, for all budgets and all palates (sparkling wine without alcohol and pure grape juice made for children).
