Campsite with pitches offering sumptuous views of the mountain range.

This eco-responsible campsite is ideally located at the foot of the Montagne Noire, some twenty kilometers from Carcassonne and Castelnaudary. Most of the pitches and rental accommodation are shaded and enjoy total peace and quiet. You'll find a pétanque court, a small grocery store, a washing machine and a cold drinks and ice cream shop. The pitches at the far end of the campsite offer a magnificent view of the Pyrenees mountain range.

ayant passé 3 semaines dans ce camping sur un emplacement spacieux et tres bien ombragé,le tout agrementé par le calme (vous serez voisins de champs cultives au sud et a l'ouest),la vue superbe sur la vallee et la gentillesse de jean louis et stephanie sont un atout majeur pour la visite de la region fort riche en histoire,sites naturels,sites incontournables (carcassonne et son feu du 14 juillet a faire absolument!!! mais evitez les musees des tortures et du catharismes bien decevants!),sans oublier le bucolique canal du midi,le tout a 30min en moyenne.
ne ratez pas non plus la piscine de grande dimension tres agreable en fin de journee et vraiment bien entretenue par le chef jean louis!
une excellente adresse a garder et donner!!
pour nous ce fut 3 semaines riches de decouvertes autant humaines que culturelles!

We have just spending two very good week to camping "gates of southerly wind" de Saissac. Still a large Thank You with jean-louis and Stephanie, owners, for their serious and their availability. This very quiet campsite has very clean facilities, very beautiful pool (with a paddling pool) always pleasant (28° with 29°) and very useful locations shaded at the time of periods of summer hot weather. Moreover, this campsite is ideally located geographically and going do not miss: the city of Carcassonne obviously (do not hesitate to take the city pass with the guided tour of the city during 2:30, you walk river 1h30 and discounts for visits of many sites in the department thanks to the tourist passport), the château de Saissac, Lastours, the city of space (1h15 from road by Revel) and Airbus in Toulouse, Narbonne (beach and city), the market of Revel every Saturday morning when you can find very quality regional ingredients, hiking routes, the Saint-Ferréol Lake...
