POTERIE DES PONTILS
Those who have already been to the craftspeople cooperative of the Carcassonne medieval City, rue du Plô, must have certainly noticed the nice dishes and decorative earthenware objects that are exhibited there. Well, these are the works of Dominique Devouard who has worked pottery since 1981. In her workshop, she creates beautiful, original and colourful, from decorative objects, such as her pretty Nénettes that are pulpy, with nice sweet little face, to the dish that she presents in collection on the theme of colours. "Passion Red", "Yellow like the sun" or "life in blue", gather everyday objects like dishes in varied forms and dimensions, small dishes, cups, teapots, or vases. And not satisfied with this nice hand work, Dominique also gives a boost to craftspeople of the region, by presenting their work in a room adjacent to her workshop. She also gives pottery classes, introduction or improvement in turning, stamping and plate work... On Wednesdays and Saturdays, she organises weekend and weekly courses for beginners and experienced people.
