Located on the towpath of the Canal du Midi, the Planque lockhouse could have had the same fate as its colleagues: semi-abandoned or wasteland... This was without knowing the assets of the place which naturally lends itself to restaurants, strolls and overnight stays. Ideally located, the Bonne Planque obviously lives up to its name and you can eat Catalan tapas as well as local cassoulet, homemade ice cream or Minervois wine. An oasis after a long day riding the canal. Friendly accomodating staff. With clean and very comfortable rooms. Small bar and restaurant at the rear of the cottage and secure covered shed for the bike.|Excellent quiet location beside the canal and lock.
