Jewellery and colour, friendship and style: that's how Beverly Smart defines its spring-summer 2018 collection. A cloakroom, which the designer, who has been living in Lagrasse since 1992, created in homage to Iris Apfel, the American fashion icon. Heir to a long line of designers and manufacturers - her grandmother was an embroiderer, her mother studied at the London School of Fashion and her aunt excelled in beadwork - Beverly Smart grew up in the beautiful tradition of couture, and only had to compile her childhood memories to make it a passionate profession. Today, its two annual collections give pride of place to pure and contemporary lines cut from recycled fabrics. The finishes are handcrafted with an artisanal and artistic attention to detail.
