SAN MARTIN CHURCH

This is a church that has lived and sees new artistic opportunities open to her! The church of Saint Martin, from the beginning of the century, was built instead of the old, threatening to collapse. Its architecture is resolutely contemporary. Concrete and its tower on the special adjacent staircase, make it an atypical monument of the twentieth century. Windows have also been added to the whole in recent years. Every year, the church embraces a realization of the master rod Joël Mône, in a decination of pink shades, thus perpetuating the reputation of the masters of the dawn. A renovation program of the fourteen white verrides is launched, but there are 200 m ² to cover. These stained glass windows on this theme of resolutely contemporary water and light invite the layman to move forward. Two elements from the old church are included in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments: a statue of the Virgin to the child, stone (sixteenth century) and the monumental organ inaugurated in 1883 and installed in 1905 in the church.
