LION'S CHAPEL

This chapel was dedicated to Saint Parre, "Le Bearded", protector of the lepers. In the th century, a ceremony gave rise to a procession during which the patients washed together with the water from the source opposite the gate. The water had the particularity of cautériser wounds because it came from the north slope of Brie, rich in chalk acid. With its unique vessel, in sobriety, it is mainly its history that makes its reputation known.
