LA MALLE DU MARTROI
This small library has been run for 25 years by a passionate individual, Michel Is, who purchases books from many sources. It houses over 30,000 old and modern works, covering a wide range of subjects (history, travel stories, novels, philosophy), and offers them at very attractive prices, with most priced at less than €10. Enthusiasts of local history will find a vast selection of books detailing the history of Orléans and its region (more than 1,000 books available). This collection also includes a variety of old documents such as letters from the empire, autographs, and engravings by well-known artists from the region (Desfriches, Soulas, Champilou). Both individuals and professionals regularly donate books they no longer need. As a result, you can visit and potentially discover a new (old) gem to enjoy.
