The Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Orléans is pleased to honor one of its great men with the exhibition Jean Bardin, Le feu sacré. The event brings together works from major French and European museums, recently restored paintings from French churches and cathedrals, and others on loan from private collectors. The monumental series of Seven Sacraments will be presented to the public for the first time in France, in the prefecture of Loiret. The exhibition traces the painter's career, from his beginnings in the studio of Jean-Baptiste-Marie Pierre to his death. A point of honor is also given to his entourage.
