DENAINVILLIERS CASTLE
This castle was built in the th century by Claude Duhamel, but bears the very strong imprint of his great-grandson, Henri-Louis Duhamel of the Monceau (1700-1782). A philantrope and humanist spirit, he shared his time between his field of Denainvilliers and the capital. In Paris he attended botanical garden botany courses, which led him to transform the Denainvilliers castle park into a field of experimentation. Evidence of this research in agronomy, the grain dryer is visible from the outside only. The current owners also set up a museum dedicated to Henri-Louis Duhamel. The visit of the castle is, unfortunately, only possible for the groups. It makes it possible to see remarkable solar dials. A free visitor will appreciate the exterior architecture of the castle, the purest Louis XIII style, remarkably preserved and classified Historic monuments.
