Magnificent ogival building of Gothic style, with a single nave with broken cradle, which is located in Mézières-en-Brenne.
It is the grand-niece of Saint Louis, Alice de Brabant, who had the church built in 1333, to serve the castle. It is a magnificent building, an ogival church of Gothic style, with a single nave with broken cradle. Very damaged in the 19th century, it was fortunately restored at the beginning of the 20th century. The church has beautiful stained glass windows from the 14th and 16th centuries and wooden stalls.

Eglise Sainte-Marie-Madeleine 36290 Mézières-En-Brenne
L'Eglise Sainte-Marie-Madeleine est située à Mézières-en-Brenne. Elle offre au visiteur un portail extérieur de toute beauté ainsi qu'entre autre, un triptyque, une fresque contemporaine et des vitraux remarquables. Mais, à l'extérieur, il faut également savoir lever les yeux pour découvrir un cadran solaire et, semble-t-il, une méridienne adossés aux murs sud de cette église. C'est une très belle visite dont il serait, à mon sens, dommage de se priver.
