This ice rink was inaugurated at the end of 2005: it was built to host the ice hockey events of the 2006 Turin Olympic Games. It can accommodate up to 2,500 seated spectators. It's called "la Vela", after its sail-shaped roof, under which Gae Aulenti placed an enormous square red block. Today, the structure hosts sporting competitions, shows, concerts...

A ski area of over 100 km (including 5 black runs), the scene of several competitions at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, and home to six ski schools. Colomion, Les Arnauds, Melezet and the Jaffereau slopes (2,800 m) offer runs for all levels, with some twenty ski lifts. Snowboarders and cross-country skiers will find plenty to keep them happy at the snowpark and on over 10 km of cross-country trails. There's even a skating rink! Various types of ski pass are available.

On the site of the 2006 Olympic Games, the upper Susa valley and part of the Pinerolo valleys form one of the largest ski areas in Europe. The Vialattea (the Milky Way) extends its 400 km of tracks between Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Clavière, Cesana, San Sicario, Pragelato and Montgenèvre (the only French starting point 2 km from the Italian border). In a breathtaking landscape, the area also offers cross-country skiing enthusiasts a ring about 8 km long, departing from the town of Monterotta.

Built on the occasion of the 2006 Winter Olympics, right next to the Olympic Stadium in the Santa Rita district, it hosted the ice hockey competitions for the occasion. Between 2021 and 2025, it will host the Masters Tennis Tournament, the last tournament of the season, where the world's top eight players compete every year. A multi-purpose structure, it also hosts concerts, conferences and various cultural events.

This beautiful minigolf course has been open since 1970, and is accessible on sunny days with a wide range of opening hours, so you can enjoy a fun (but also sporting) time with family and friends whenever you like, as it is open every evening until midnight. The course is progressive in difficulty, making it a real success. There's also a ping-pong table for enthusiasts, and a rather strange but highly entertaining game, calcio billardo (soccer billiards), in which you have to kick giant billiard balls!

Managed by the Municipality of Cuneo since 2007, the protected nature park covers an area of 4,500 hectares and more than 60 km of the Gesso and Stura rivers. Strongly supported by local residents, it represents an ideal natural haven for hiking and cycling. Several marked trails guide visitors (markers, signs, etc.). Mountain bikes can be hired inside the park.

The course you will find here is a 9-hole ring, surrounded by mountains, at an altitude that varies from 1,550 to 1,590 m. Even if you are not a member of the Pragelato Golf Club, you can play your favourite sport in a truly splendid, quiet and relaxing setting. But beware, it is only open in summer and when it is daylight! You are warned, you will have to leave the premises when the sun begins to decline. It will then be time to think about trying one of the good restaurants in the area...

Adjacent to the sanctuary of Oropa, in the heart of the Sacro Monte nature reserve, the Oropa Sport area is a reference point for all mountain enthusiasts, both in winter and summer. The ski lifts connect Oropa to a popular ski area, while in summer the whole area becomes the kingdom of hikers and mountain bikers, among others. An adventure park has even recently opened to satisfy even the most avid tree climbers. It is a real paradise for the little mountain people and their guides.

Baveno-Oltrefiume-Feriolo-Torre. 2h15 return. From the Villa Fedora park, turn left towards Oltrefiume. Continue along Via Lavarini and the Strada Cavalli which joins the main road. Then turn left and take the path that leads to the tower with picnic area.

Baveno-Roncaro-Campio-Campino-Alpinia-Mottarone. 2h15 on the way out and 1h25 on the way back. From the lake shore in Baveno, climb to Roncaro and Campino. The route, with views of Lake Maggiore, leads to the summit of Mottarone.
