The Baroque Bar was born a few years ago, at the initiative of Gilbert Bezzina, Director of the Ensemble Baroque in Nice. Since then, the evenings have been successfully connected every Saturday at 21 a. m. in the cellar of the premises of the Baroque Ensemble. The idea is to adapt to classical fashion the principle of jazz clubs, and to create a friendly listening in a bar atmosphere.
Throughout the evening, around a different approach to the baroque repertoire, we listen to chamber music, sonatas, discussions, questions about baroque music, while tasting time drinks like the hypocras… This little musical place was created as a place of meetings and experience, ideal to make the baroque music, in l'l'the atmosphere for which it was created.
