BRICORAMA AIX EN PROVENCE

Large DIY stores
4.7/5

Closed

A DIY store in the center of town has become a rarity! And still very practical, despite the lack of parking (you have to walk a few steps and park in the Rotonde parking lot). The clientele tends to be local. Here, you'll find everything you need for DIY at home: screws, nails and hooks, sockets and wires, paint pots, glues and coatings. There are also sections devoted to framing, decoration, tools, hardware and even animal feed. And let's not forget the garden section, with plants and trees in winter (watering, various products, tools and pool maintenance). In season, there's also a corner dedicated to garden furniture, with tables and chairs, deckchairs and various pots. A bath, shower and electrical department. Everything you need to equip your home. With a small equipment rental service. Of particular note: a wood and glass cutting service, and the option of stopping your vehicle at the back of the store to pick up large parts. A long store like you'd expect to find in a city center, with a seductive layout and the same competent staff who've been there for years. A plus compared with the big DIY stores on the outskirts of town.

Maison Empereur is the oldest hardware store in France (opened in 1827!). In this Ali Baba's cave, you can really find everything! From kitchen accessories, cutlery and drugstore to gardening accessories, not to mention objects from yesteryear to be rediscovered. A must-see institution in Marseille! Newlyweds can open their wedding list there. A quick tour of the website also gives you an idea of the products available. But, as Petit Futé believes, nothing beats a little visit to the boutique!

Y STORE

Hardware and drugstore

A veritable Ali Baba's cave on the Canebière, Y-store is a well-known address for anyone looking for just about anything! A comprehensive drugstore offering home decoration, DIY, bathroom and kitchen equipment, small electrical appliances, hardware and even food on clearance. It's a one-stop shop, and few can fail to find what they're looking for. The welcome isn't always smiling, but rather rushed. And yet, it's a smart address at low prices (although it's always a good idea to compare elsewhere, especially for small household appliances). Open 7 days a week, it's ideal for emergency repairs or last-minute purchases. In summer, beach business.

Since 1959, this company has been supplying the people of Aix-en-Provence with pans and knives. Only beautiful material! The owner and his sons continue the adventure by proposing multiple articles, cast iron or copper saucepans, knives "which cut", string to make all, products of maintenance for the pieces of furniture, drugstore, curtain rods, locks, fittings and other objects of brass and wrought iron manufactured in a craft way. But also garbage cans, shopping carts... Jura brand coffee machines and... a knife sharpening service.
