In 1970, Kydon, the emblematic ship linking Piraeus and Chania for 20 years, made its first voyage. It was a tanker launched in 1953 and converted into a ferry in 1968, according to the custom of the time. At present the company has a fleet of 9 ships of Greek registry serving, among others, the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.
