These are the largest boat transfer operators. They're more like ferries, very comfortable and fast. The pier is located in Port Denarau, where, depending on your destination, you'll have to queue for tickets before boarding. They serve most of the Mamanucas and Yasawas islands. To get from Taveuni to Savusavu is relatively simple: go to the Wairiki wharf to catch the 7 a.m. ferry, then on the other side at Bucca Bay a bus from the same company is waiting to take you to Savusavu. Approximately 2h30 - 3h journey in total. The ferry departs from Wairiki at 7am and in the other direction (Bucca Bay - Taveuni) at around 9am. The bus ride from Bucca Bay to Savusavu is a picturesque and charming journey through (almost) untouched lush forest.
