Most tourist sites are free, as they are largely subsidized by the government. In some cases, such as the National Museum, entrance tickets rarely cost more than 1 BHD.
In winter, Bahrain is a sportsman's paradise: jogging along Bahrain Bay or The Avenues, private or public beaches, snorkeling and more. There's no shortage of choice. In summer, on the other hand, high temperatures make sports more difficult.
While Bahrain is a temple to consumerism, prices are quite similar to those in Europe.
A night out in Bahrain's clubs can quickly cost a small fortune, especially if you order bottles. Drinking by the glass is often cheaper.
Bahrain : What is the budget for eating?
In Bahrain, mid-range restaurants are few and far between. With a few exceptions, they are mainly either inexpensive or rather upmarket. Expect to pay between BHD 1 and BHD 5 for a meal in a local restaurant, between BHD 5 and BHD 15 for a mid-range restaurant, and BHD 15 or more for the most luxurious restaurants.
As with restaurants, VAT is generally included in the menu prices. Most bars offer happy hours, usually between 5pm and 8pm.

Bahrain is a wealthy country thanks to its hydrocarbon resources. As a result, living standards are relatively high. Expect to pay between BHD 60 and 120 per day, and up to BHD 250 for the most comfortable budgets. In restaurants and hotels, tipping is not compulsory, but always appreciated. In the souks, haggling is possible.
