Aegean Airlines, the national airline, flies from Athens to many Greek islands such as Chios, Corfu, Kythera, Ikaria, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kassos, Kos, Chania, Leros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Rhodes, Samos, as well as Thessaloniki, Ionina and many other inland locations, which are becoming more and more numerous every year. Aegean is a Greek airline founded in 1999. In 2013, it bought the emblematic Olympic, and thus became the largest airline in the country. It serves Paris, Deauville, Metz, Strasbourg, Nantes, Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Marseille to Heraklion and Hania airports in Crete, among others.
