For five days, the real feria of San Miguel is the most important celebration of the town of Vélez-Málaga and the most important feria of the commune. During the day, it is held in Plaza de las Carmelitas, rue Canalejas and Reñidero and on the Paseo de Andalusia. At night, the fiesta takes place in the ferial recinto, next to Juan Carlos I Avenue. With parades of horses, men and women dressed in Andalusian clothes, casetas (small private tents), concerts and cultural activities.
