Malaga, Costa del Sol, vacation, beach, tan, night-clubs and flamenco… A priori, any serious aficionado has the right to fear that the show of the bullfighting is in the image of the frame, that the bulls are covered with solar amber and the toreros think above all to look for a beautiful tourist set in the first row. It is not! The August feria in Malaga has nothing to envy its neighbors! Although in La Malagueta arena there are many tourists among the 14 000 spectators. The Malagueta operates nowadays as a classic plaza. There is a bull on Easter Day, during the Corpus, then in July, and especially in August, around the 15 th of the month. It goes to the paseo most of the toreros in sight, including the child of the country: Javier Conde. And it is here that Picasso, another child of the country, discovered bullfighting, which is found in much of his work and painted in Le Macmillan, his first painting on oil, in 1889.
