JOUR DES DÉFENSEURS DE LA PATRIE

This day is celebrated on 14 January, the date of the official creation of the national armed forces of Uzbekistan after independence on 14 January 1992. It is an opportunity to honor the Army and Air Force through speeches, parades and awards. It is also on this date that the best students of the military academies are rewarded. Ceremonies and concerts (by invitation only) are held at the Palais des Congrès.
